Terms of Use

These terms apply to RoastHUD (roasthud.com), a free service for logging and sharing coffee roast batches, run by Philip Pavo, Winterthur, Switzerland. By creating an account or using the service you agree to them.

The service

RoastHUD imports roast logs from links you provide, shows charts and statistics, generates images for sharing, and tracks your green coffee inventory. It is offered free of charge and is still being developed: features may change or be removed, and the service may be unavailable at times.

Your account

Keep access to your email account secure, since sign-in links are sent there. You are responsible for what happens in your account. You can delete it at any time in Settings.

Your content

Your roast logs, notes and bean details stay yours. You give us permission to store and process them to run the service, and, for batches you make public, to show them to anyone with the link and on your profile, including in generated images and to search engines. Your public note is shown with the batch; private notes are only shown to you. Only import or open logs you have the right to share.

Acceptable use

• Don't use the service for anything unlawful, or to harass others.
• Don't try to access other people's private data or accounts.
• Don't overload, scrape or disrupt the service, or abuse the sign-in emails.

We may suspend or delete accounts that break these rules.

Third-party services

RoastHUD is an independent project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by ROEST or Aillio; their names are used only to say which roasters and services we can import from. Imports depend on those services, and we can't guarantee they keep working.

No warranty

The service is provided "as is". Charts, statistics and inventory numbers are computed from imported data and may contain errors. Don't rely on them for food safety or commercial decisions.

Liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect damage, lost data or lost profits. Our liability for gross negligence and intent is not limited.

Changes and ending

We may update these terms; the date at the top shows the latest version, and significant changes will be announced to account holders by email. You can stop using the service at any time. We may discontinue it with reasonable notice, giving you a chance to save your data.

Law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by Swiss law. The courts of Winterthur, Switzerland, have jurisdiction, unless mandatory consumer protection rules say otherwise.
