How to get an .alog file from Artisan

  1. Mark the events

Roast as usual in Artisan and mark charge, dry end, first crack and drop.

  2. Save the roast

Choose File → Save. Artisan saves it as an .alog file.

  3. Drop it above

Drop the file on the box at the top, or click it to choose the file.

Older roasts work too: open them from the folder where Artisan saved them.

Questions

What is an .alog file?

The file Artisan saves a roast in, with the whole roast curve, the events you marked, and details like the beans and weights.

Do I need an account to open an .alog file?

No. Drop the file and the curves and numbers appear. You only need a free account to save the roast and share it.

Is my file stored?

Not unless you save the roast.

My roast was logged in Fahrenheit. Does that work?

Yes. Fahrenheit logs are shown in Celsius.

I didn't mark dry end or first crack. What happens?

The roast curve still shows. Mark the events in Artisan next time to see the phases too.
